Before I knew that watercolor was in my DNA, I enjoyed painting for many years. One painting was accepted into the International Red Cross Exhibition. I eventually learned that my maternal grand father had taught water color at the Art Institute of Chicago where grandmother was one of his students. I'm a founding member of the Adoptees of Oklahoma City Metro. I was an English teacher for 16 years and later lobbied educators and played with paint on the weekends. For many years now painting has become the focus of my life. I urge everyone to do something with their hands. It's good for the soul. I am a resident artist at Street Smarts Gallery in Oklahoma City.
