Without any artistic training and quite by accident Diane Goldschmidt was bored while driving on a Saturday afternoon in the 1990's. Thinking she could 'slap on some paint' on a canvas for fun she dropped in to a local art store. The clerk informed her the store sponsored classes, so she called; she showed up; she painted; she was hooked.

Diane has organized several emerging artists for annual exhibits as well as entering and selling various shows and galleries. I find that the more I paint the more I want to paint. I strive to touch either the viewers memory or funny bone with my work. I observe the world in an amusing way and hope to bring a bit of joy to those who see my work. She is a resident artist at Street Smarts Studios and Gallery.
